At the beginning of April, Facebook announced the availability of its new feature: Facebook Live.

This new feature allows you to broadcast live videos from your smartphone. This is an opportunity for radios that want to share new experiences with their listeners!

A new way to communicate with your viewership. Your Facebook Page becomes the backstage communication channel, important moments and events linked to the existence of your radio, but also an occasion to communicate in real-time with your listeners.

giphyThe entirety of their reactions and comments will be posted at the bottom of the video, which will give you an idea of the overall opinion of your live feed.

Facebook Live is directly integrated into your Facebook app and does not require the installation of any additional applications.

To start your live session on Facebook, follow the instructions below:

Connect yourself to the Facebook app for iOS or Android (you can also use the “Facebook Pages Manager” dedicated to the administration of Facebook Pages).

1. Tap on the bar the top of your timeline, newsfeed or page to add a new status.

2. You should then be able to tap on Go Live.

3. Write an optional description for your broadcast, such as My Radio is live!

4. Tap on the red video button to start your broadcast.

When you want to end your broadcast, tap Finish.

Attention: your broadcast can be no longer than 90 minutes. When you end your broadcast, it’ll stay on your Timeline or Page like any other video.
