This year, Radiodays Europe took place in Amsterdam, more specifically in the RAI Convention Centre! It was the perfect opportunity for our team to discover the capital of the Netherlands as well as a fantastic opportunity to discuss and shares ideas about the future of radio with some incredibly interesting people in the industry.
.
On the program for Radiodays Europe: over 100 speakers, lots of stands and a number of exchanges around the future of radio. Of course, some of our team were also lucky enough to attended various conferences given by professionals in the industry. We’ve certainly come back with new ideas!
.
.
Here are some of the conferences that we thought were of particular interest:
.. Radio in the connected home – A conference that focused a great deal on Amazon’s voice service, Alexa and the future of search being voice based.
. Facebook Audio – Facebook’s new project that could definitely be of interest in the months to come, specially when it comes to doing short live broadcasts with interaction from your listeners. It’s basically Facebook Live but only with audio. Watch this space!
. Battle of the dashboard – From Hybrid radio to DAB and IP, it is clear that the the radio industry needs to come up with new strategies if they wish to stay accessible in the car. Radio stations especially seem keen to pay much attention to embedded systems like Android Auto & CarPlay…
.
We’d like to thank and congratulate all speakers, participants and not to mention the entire Radiodays Europe team for another cracking 3 days. Hope to catch you around at next year’s conference which will take place in Vienna from March 18th-20th!
