Are you familiar with the term crowdfunding<\/strong><\/span>? In simple terms, crowdfunding (the financial child of crowdsourcing<\/strong>) involves presenting your project to the online community on a platform dedicated to inviting people to support your project.\u00a0<\/p>\n

What platform should you choose?<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n

There are a number of platforms that currently exist to help finance your project. From\u00a0Kickstarter<\/span><\/strong><\/a>\u00a0to\u00a0Crowdfunder<\/b><\/a><\/span>\u00a0or even\u00a0Indie Go Go<\/strong><\/span><\/a>, these platforms invite you to suggest\u00a0a specific financial sum to kick start your project. However the idea of long term funding doesn’t come with the package.<\/p>\n

For this week’s\u00a0article, we’ve been on the look out for the ideal platform for our Radio King community. We decided on\u00a0Tipeee<\/strong><\/span><\/a>, this crowdfunding platform based on the philosophy of \u00ab\u00a0tipping\u00a0\u00bb \u00a0allows supporters to make regular donations to content creators, starting from as little a euro. In our eyes, it’s one of the best ways of making your radio station more sustainable.<\/p>\n

How does it work?<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n

If we’re talking about a radio producer on our platform, you might want to sponsor them for 2\u20ac a month.<\/p>\n

Example<\/strong><\/span> :\u00a0<\/strong>If 50 listeners<\/strong>\u00a0wish to participate in your project with a budget of 2\u20ac\/month\u00a0<\/strong>per person, that’s already 92\u20ac\/month (-8% commission taken by the\u00a0platform<\/em>) or around $104\/month.<\/p>\n

How can I convince my listeners to help me?<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n

With\u00a0Tipeee<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0and other crowdfunding platforms, you also have the possibility of offering rewards based on the amount donated.
