It&rsquo;s a <strong>full metal construction<\/strong> which gives a nice weight to it (in other words, you could give someone a nasty concussion with it!) The microphone has an <strong>internal shock mount<\/strong>\u00a0which helps\u00a0reduce vibrations traveling up from the floor to the mic stand. It also has an <strong>internal<\/strong> <strong>pop<\/strong> <strong>filter<\/strong> which is great for reducing any popping sounds.<\/p>\n<p>The Rode Procaster is an <strong>XLR<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>dynamic microphone <\/strong>which means that you&rsquo;ll need an <strong>audio interface<\/strong> or a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.radioking.com\/blog\/how-to-choose-the-right-mixer\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>mixing desk<\/strong><\/a> in order to connect it to your computer. It is also very important to have a <strong>preamplifier<\/strong> to boost the signal.As it&rsquo;s a dynamic mic, it doesn&rsquo;t require <strong>phantom power<\/strong> to work.<\/p>\n<p>Unlike condenser mics, dynamic microphones\u00a0tend to pick up mostly what\u2019s <strong>in front of them,<\/strong> and the Rode Procaster is no exception! Be sure to place your mouth in the direction of the microphone when speaking.
