Although\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"s2\">you will generally get better quality with an XLR microphone, the Samson Meteor is a great solution if you have a tight budget and want something easy to use.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"s2\">You\u2019ll find a headphones jack on the back so you can <strong>plug your headphones in directly<\/strong> to the mic and listen to what you\u2019re recording, you can also hear what\u2019s coming out of your computer.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"s2\">There is also a volume knob on the microphone for your headphones. Be careful, as this knob <strong>adjusts the volume of your headphones<\/strong>\u00a0and doesn\u2019t impact the volume of your microphone.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0(T<\/span>o adjust your mic volume, you\u2019ll have to go to your computer settings.)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"s2\">It&rsquo;s also equipped with a <strong>mute button<\/strong>\u00a0so you can easily cut off the sound from your mic.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"s2\">As a plus, it comes with <strong>3 fold-back legs<\/strong> so you don\u2019t need to buy a microphone stand!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"s2\">The Samson Meteor is a <strong>cardioid microphone<\/strong> which means that it will pick up most of the audio from the <b>front of the microphone <\/b>and will pretty much ignore all background noise.\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"s2\">It\u2019s also a <strong>condenser microphone<\/strong> which means that the sound will be much warmer compared to a dynamic mic.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #fb5e30;\"><strong>Our opinion:<\/strong> <\/span>Honestly, we feel that<span class=\"s2\"> the quality-price ratio is great! On one side all you will hear is what\u2019s coming out of your <strong>computer<\/strong>, and on the other side, you\u2019ll hear what\u2019s coming out of the <strong>microphone<\/strong>.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"s2\">The bottom dial controls the volume of your headphones.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span class=\"s2\">You have a headphones jack to plug your headphones in directly to the microphone with <strong>0 latency monitoring.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"s2\">You won&rsquo;t find a gain dial directly on the microphone, so you\u2019ll have to adjust the mc volume in your computer settings.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"s2\"><span style=\"color: #fb5e30;\"><strong>Our opinion:<\/strong> <\/span>Overall, this is a really decent-sounding microphone.
